Scan One was founded in 1983 by Stan Brewer, a life-long entrepreneur and independent business owner. Scan One (originally known as Network One) entered the technical scene on the systems integration side of the track, originally as a reseller of document imaging systems. In 1994, as more and more businesses realized the benefits of digitizing documents, Scan One began providing capture services. By 1997, the company had transitioned to a pure service model.
Web Technology
Brewer could see that the internet would soon become more to business than a communications and information tool. He steered the company toward web technology, which lead to the creation of Scan One’s Online Document Center (ODC) in 1999. The ODC provided robust, hosted, online document and process workflow tools, with a focus on paper-intensive business transactions.
CorVel Acquisition
In 2003, Scan One was acquired by CorVel Corporation, a highly respected, financially stable Fortune 500 company based in Irvine, California. This partnership provided the foundation for expanded growth, moving Scan One to its current position as the premier provider of automated financial transactions.
Today
Today Scan One provides automated accounts payable services and other financial transaction services to some of the largest and most recognizable companies in the world, with monthly transactions ranging from a few thousand to tens of thousands.
